The fruit for this wine was carefully selected during the growing season to ensure exceptional quality. Fermentation occurred in 50% new and 50% premium 1 year old French oak and gently lees stirred weekly during 9 months of maturation to give excellent complexity, a creamy texture and seamless integration.
Our Alicante wine is made from grapes sourced from a stunning hilltop vineyard in the South Burnett. This naturally red fleshed (teinturier) variety requires little intervention to extract its deep inky colour. Gently handled in closed fermentation vessels it is then pressed to French oak barrels for maturation.
